Based on the results of your audit, the program may provide a variety of energy-saving upgrades, including:

Insulation upgrades for walls, floors, and attics
HVAC system improvements to enhance heating and cooling efficiency
Energy-efficient lighting enhancements
Hot water tank and pipe insulation

Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)
The Weatherization Assistance Program in Georgia is a federally funded service that helps income eligible households lower their energy bills and improve home comfort through free energy-efficiency upgrades. The program provides professional improvements such as added insulation, air sealing to reduce drafts, duct repairs, ventilation upgrades, and minor health and safety fixes that support energy savings. All work is based on a home energy audit performed by certified technicians who determine the most effective measures for each home.
These upgrades come at no cost to qualifying homeowners and renters, with priority given to seniors, families with children, individuals with disabilities, and households with high energy burdens. After weatherization, most residents see noticeable reductions in heating and cooling costs, better indoor comfort, and improved overall home performance.

Eligibility for the Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program is designed to help income-eligible households improve comfort, reduce energy costs, and address health and safety concerns. To qualify, a household’s income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Priority is given to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families with children. The program is available to single-family homes, manufactured homes, and multifamily residences, ensuring broad access for residents across Georgia.
